Physical Therapy
Manual Orthopedic Therapy
Specialized "hands on" treatment is available for patients provided by licensed physical therapists who have had advanced training in mobilization of soft tissue and joints. Treatment may include extremity and spinal mobilization/stabilization techniques. OSSR has multiple Therapists who are certified as manual physical therapists. Many of our Therapists are teaching in manual therapy residency/fellowship programs or are pursuing advanced credentialing in various manual therapy programs. At Olympic Sports and Spine Rehabilitation care begins with a comprehensive examination of your complaints by a licensed physical therapist. Common conditions include pre and post operative complaints, sports injuries, motor vehicle injuries including whiplash and neck or back pain, work injuries of all sorts including trauma and repetitive stress injuries, as well as chronic conditions that are painful or inhibit full function. Following evaluation, results and recommendations are discussed and a treatment program is planned and implemented. Interventions may include treatment with modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or traction. Manual therapy may be included for mobilization of soft tissue or joints. A therapeutic exercise program will be established as needed with inclusion of a home exercise protocol. Treatment is generally coordinated with your referring physician if applicable. |
