New PT Hires

The end of June and first of July saw the hiring of two new PTs: Jennifer McGowan and Kathleen Hutchinson.

Jennifer comes to us from the great state of Indiana. She and her husband, both of the Midwest, have decided to give the NW a shot. An alumna of Indiana State U and University of Indiana PT School has been here in WA for about a month. She learned about OSSR via NAIOMT channels and is set to begin her Manual Therapy training  in September.  When asked what she liked to do she said, “There is so much to do here it’s hard to know where to start.” She’s off to a good start with having been to Mt. Rainier and hitting some of the biking trails around the sound.  Jennifer likes painting, travel, disc golf and eating in ethnic restaurants.  Welcome Jennifer to the Puyallup Clinic!

Kathleen on the other hand has been a part of OSSR for the better part of 9 years as a PTA. She has recently graduated from UPS with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Here are some things you might not know about Kat.  She’s the youngest of 6 and has 5 older brothers! She loves to bake bread and has a great recipe for Black Bean Soup.  She’s traveled to India several times. She’s a  Star Trek fan, a WWU alumna and used to work at E9. A local Tacoma girl who went to Stadium HS and loves the North End. She’s participated in Team in Training’s Vancouver Marathon and Half Marathon enjoys being outdoors. Kathleen will be returning to her old stomping ground of LCC which she helped open with Bill O’Grady back in her PTA days.
