O’Grady and Angaran Win PTWA Awards

The Physical Therapy Association of Washington awarded two of their three annual awards to Physical Therapists working for OSSR. This a great testament to the quality of our staff.

Bill O’Grady was given the “Award for Clinical Excellence”.  This award is presented to acknowledge an individual who has made outstanding and enduring contributions to the clinical practice of physical therapy. Award recipients will have:

  1. Been engaged in extensive clinical practice for at least ten years,
  2. Positively and substantially affected the shape, scope, and quality of physical therapy practice,
  3. Had an impact on other physical therapists, increasing their abilities to practice physical therapy through mentoring, clinical education, continuing or basic education,
  4. Had an impact on the overall and widespread development of physical therapy as a caring profession,
  5. Demonstrated contributions to the Physical Therapy Association of Washington,
  6. Member of the Physical Therapy Association of Washington.

Congratulations Bill!

Jeremy Angaran was granted the “Distinguished  Service Award”. The recipient of this award was acknowledged for their continued service toward the Association and/or the physical therapy profession. The recipients are members of the Association, have demonstrated significant contributions over time that collectively have supported the Association. The contributions may or may not have been in the past year. Typically these people have been long standing members of the Association, and over the course of time through consistent actions have contributed to the goals and business of the Association. Many times they are the unsung heroes who quietly contribute. Excellent job Jeremy.  Hawaii will be lucky to have you.

OSSR has had a history of staff members winning awards from PTWA. Cheryl French Nevin won the “Distinguished Service Award”in 1997. Former employee and sometime fill-in helper Donette Parry was selected as the PTA of the year 2007.
