Body mechanics is a term which describes how we move during our daily activities.

Body mechanics is a term which describes how we move during our daily activities.  It includes sleeping and waking postures, how we sit, stand, lift, carry push and pull, etc.  Poor body mechanics leads to increased stress on our bodies and possible injury.

Body mechanics training is designed to teach the fundamentals of body alignment to minimize the risk of injury. Training involves educating workers and managers about the potential risks of material handling injuries, their causes, symptoms, prevention and treatment.
