Craig is a life long resident of Tacoma. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Pacific Lutheran University in 1982. His interest in healthcare he attributes to his physician father who still maintains an active practice in Tacoma.

After completing his undergraduate work, Craig elected to spend several years on a family owned cattle ranch in North Central Washington.  In 1989, he tried out his entrepreneurial skills as co-owner and manager of a bungee jumping/sports recreational company.

Craig returned to the University of Puget Sound in 1994, completing his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1997. When asked about the choice of physical therapy, Craig responds that it represented a chance to combine healthcare with the daily aspects of physical labor, recreational sports and important aspects of business management. Craig joined Olympic Sports and Spine Rehabilitation, P.S. in May of 1997 and is currently the Clinic Director of Operations at Lakewood Colonial Center.

Craig has a strong clinical interest in the evaluation and treatment of sports injuries, particularly related to running. He currently enjoys running, plus snow, and water skiing.  Because of Craig’s sports history including cross-country, basketball, and track, he says he knows first hand how important it is to manage sports injuries carefully. “I am a strong believer in patient education, injury prevention and care plans that encourage patient involvement to the maximum.”

He and his wife are both physical therapists and make their home in University Place with their two children.
