William H. O'Grady PT, DPT, OCS, COMT, FAAPM, FAAOMPTBoard Member
Dr. O’Grady received his physical therapy degree from California State University, Long Beach in 1972. He received his master’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1977. He founded OSSR in 1984 and has been on semi-retirement since 2006. He obtained his Doctorate at the University of St. Augustine School of Health Sciences in 2001. Although his doctorate was in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, the emphasis of his studies was in the management of spinal stability disorders. Dr. O’Grady is Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical therapy and Orthopedic Manual Therapy and completed a 3-year residency program in orthopedic manual physical therapy. He is a both a Fellow of the American Academy of Pain Management and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. O’Grady continues as a clinical instructor/faculty and examiner for the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowship program. He is highly regarded nationally recognized subject matter expert in the conservative management of pelvic and spinal disorders. He has published several journal articles on management of spinal stability disorders and has taught continuing education courses on orthopedics across the U.S. He continues to serve as a clinical instructor to several University Physical Therapy Programs across the U.S. Dr. O’Grady retired from the U.S. Army as full Colonel in 2002 after 38 years combined active duty and reserve duty. His most recent assign was as the Assistant Chief of the Army Medical Specialist Corps and Reserve Consultant to the Office of the Surgeon General of the Army. Dr. O’Grady is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association belonging to the Orthopedic and Sports sections for over 25 years. Additionally, he is a member of the Physical Therapy Association of Washington, American College of Sports Medicine, American Academy of Pain Management, American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, American Association of Orthopedic Medicine and North American Orthopedic Manual Therapy. He is a proud Life Member in both the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars and the Vietnam Veteran’s of America. |
