Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy cum laude from Bowling Green State University in 1998. During his time at school he played two years of baseball and one year of football while attending the University of Findlay. Since his graduation, he has worked in Hanover, Pennsylvania for 4 years with a focus in outpatient orthopedics and participation in Industrial Rehabilitation. He started working for Olympic Sports and Spine Rehabilitation in 2003 with a focus on outpatient orthopedics and manual therapy as well as participating in Industrial Rehabilitation. He became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2000.

Joe is a graduate of the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) residency and fellowship programs and is a certified orthopedic manual therapist (COMT). Joe is currently working on his advanced Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy degree with an emphasis on Manual Therapy and cervical disorders through Andrews University. He is set to complete the program in 2008.

Joe is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Physical Therapy Association of Washington, Orthopedic Section of the APTA, American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

He enjoys hiking, spending time with his wife and two children and is an avid runner.
